Charlotte Ambush partners with several schools in the area to offer field hockey teams that participate in a traditional after school season during the fall.   We partner with athletic directors, principals, teachers and parents to create a program that works best for your school.   From start to finish, from buying equipment to scheduling refs, we work hard to help create a vibrant interscholastic field hockey club team in your school.

Weddington Middle School - April 29, 2024 - all sport meeting at 6:30
Weddington High School - May 7, 2024 - 6pm in the Media Center
Jay M Robinson Middle School - May 21 - 9:20-10:00am in the cafeteria
Cuthbertson High School - May 22 - Wednesday at 3:15 in Room G219


FREE "Try It" CLINICS

All you need is tennis shoes and Shinguars & mouth guard if you have them.  If not it's ok - come try it.  We will provide sticks!

Community House Middle School - April 29, 2024 - 4:30pm - on campus
Any School - May 1, 2024 - @ Davie Park - 4:30 - Students from any school welcome
Alexander Graham - May, 3, 2024 - on Campus front field - 4:45-5:30

6th Graders

Option 1:  Join a Middle School Team listed above (3-5 Day a commitment)

Option 2: 6th Grade League  (1-2 day commitment)
Get a team together to play in the Ambush 6th Grade League. Registration will open in June.

*These teams are community based teams (you do not have to attend this school to play)

***This is a middle school level hybrid program - clinics+games

 

Don’t see your school??...

  • Ardrey Kell HS, Charlotte Catholic HS, Holy Trinity MS, Hough HS, Marvin Ridge MS & HS, Myers Park HS, and Providence HS all have teams that are managed as club teams by their own school. If you are a student at one of these schools, check with your administration for more information. Local private schools, including Providence Day, Charlotte Country Day, Charlotte Latin, and Covenant Day School each have field hockey programs.
  • Carmel Middle School - SouthPark Youth Association FH runs this MS program
  • Ballantyne Community Middle School (formerly the Community House Middle School team), Ambush North team, East Community High School team, and Christ the King High School teams are community teams where you do not have to attend the school to play. Any middle school student can play for South Charlotte MS, the Ballantyne Community team, and the Ambush North team, whereas, any high school student can play for either East Community or Christ the King.
